Cityman: EP

www.facebook.com/citymanmusic

After a failed attempt to make improvised techno music under the name “Alpo ja Tomi”, Alpo Nummelin and Tomi Leppänen started to learn how to make pop music. Although they both are drummers for several finnish alternative favourites such as K-X-P, Zebra and Snake and Circle, in Cityman the duties are done with synthesizers, sequencers and vocals. “I think we have now found a perfect combination for making the music, I deliver the Rhythm and Alpo delivers the Emotion”, Leppänen says. ”By using these most elementary components we are able to communicate with the audience on the most primary level”. The Cityman name refers to the legendary oversized mobile, Mobira Cityman, a perfectly obese symbol for enhancing the basic human need for communication using the latest technology. The debut single “Crazy” features co-vocals from Ringa “The Hearing” Sofi.
